Mazyar Shahcheraghi

Began his theater career at the age of 19 in Mashhad. After several years of work, he was banned from performing due to his refusal to accept censorship by Iran’s Ministry of Culture and Arts. Despite immigration, he has never abandoned his passion. He studied cinema and, despite numerous challenges, dedicated himself to keeping Persian theater alive for Iranians in Montreal and across Canada. He has directed and staged more than 10 full-length plays and has acted in over 20 productions. Most recently, he successfully took his last two works on a tour across Canada.

Nona Neissi

A theater and acting graduate, began her artistic journey 15 years ago in Iran. Her unwavering passion for theater, especially acting, has been a constant force in her life. Even amid the challenges of immigration, she not only remained devoted to her craft but embraced it with greater intensity, transforming the magic of the stage into a comforting light during the cold and distant days away from home. Bringing the lives of diverse characters to life on stage fills her with boundless joy and inspiration. Beyond acting, Nona finds fulfillment in fiction writing, yoga, contemporary dance, singing, and pottery—pursuits that reflect her vibrant, creative spirit and deep love for artistic expression.

Aida Rezaei

Born in Tehran, Iran, Aida is an actor and performer who lives at the crossroads of art, philosophy and science. With over a decade of acting experience, she has brought powerful stories to life—from award-winning plays in Iran to vibrant productions in Canada. When she’s not wrestling with philosophical questions or rehearsing lines, you’ll find her wandering Montreal’s charming streets with a podcast in her ears, lost in a good book or climbing at the gym. For Aida, it all comes back to storytelling—she’s always on the lookout for the next narrative to bring to life.

Saman Aslani

Is an actor always eager to step into a new role. He finds joy in the transformative power of performance, losing himself in the lives of others.
Whether it’s a heart-wrenching drama or a lighthearted comedy, he pours his heart and soul into every project. Beyond the stage and screen, he is a curious soul who loves to explore new cultures, try different characters, and simply appreciate the beauty of life.

Max (Mahmoud) Ramezanpour

As an Executive Producer, Max (Mahmoud) Ramezy brings a distinctive blend of strategic vision and meticulous execution to every project. Born in Iran, his robust background in engineering and project management provides an invaluable foundation for overseeing complex productions, including the film Not to Be and the acclaimed, festival-celebrated A Côté Cœur. Beyond his executive contributions, Max is also an accomplished actor on stage and screen, deeply committed to exploring and actualizing powerful stories through art.

‏Srwa Hassani

Is a multidisciplinary artist whose work bridges the worlds of music and cinema. With a deep-rooted passion for both singing and storytelling, she brings emotional depth and authenticity to every performance—whether on stage or on screen.

‏Srwa’s cinematic journey includes acting in short and feature films such as Wet Suitcase, Oak Butterfly, The Mortician, and Lumino. She is equally skilled behind the camera, having contributed to film productions in roles such as camera operation, sound recording, and production management.

‏As a singer, Srwa is known for her powerful voice and expressive performances in both folk and classical styles. She has collaborated with music groups in Iran and Canada, performed live at cultural events and festivals, and released several independent musical works that reflect her artistic sensibility.

‏Behrouz Mayelzadeh

Was born in December 1975 in Abadan, Iran. After the Iran-Iraq war broke out, his family left the south and began a long journey north, eventually settling in Tabriz, where Behrouz started elementary school. He later pursued a degree in structural engineering and completed his studies at Polytechnique Montréal. He now lives in Montreal. His writing journey began seriously through collaborations with Hafteh Magazine, and in recent years he’s published two books:

  • An Elegy for the Male Reindeer Horns, a poetic exploration of loss and identity
  • A Can of Beans on an Aristocratic Dinner Table, a collection of short stories

Behrouz is currently immersed in writing a new novel, which he hopes to publish soon. His essays and articles have appeared in outlets such as Radio Zamaneh, Medad magazine, the Iranian Writers Association in Exile, Hafteh, Mard-e-Rooz, and other platforms. He is also a member of PEN Canada and Engineers Without Borders, and is involved in humanitarian efforts, including supporting working children in Iran.

Atbin Ramezanpour

Is a 12-year-old actor in his second film production experience, is a multi skilled talent known for being hardworking and smart. He’s an accomplished musician on the piano, also enjoys rap singing and a dedicated athlete who loves playing soccer and will earn his black belt in karate this year. Fluent in English, French, Persian, and communicate in Spanish, and Portuguese, Atbin, bringing a dynamic range of skills and a vibrant personality to his performance.

Shayan Dashtizadeh

Was born in Tehran. In 2017, he began his artistic career in photography and cinematography. He started his professional career by working as a director of photography on short films. He also trained under renowned instructors such as Hooman Behmanesh and Alireza Barazandeh at the Karnameh Institute. He successfully directed 17 short films in Iran. As his professional path progressed, he eventually took part in major projects such as the TV program Hamrefigh and the series Once Upon a Time in Iran.

Houshang Koochaki

Is an audio designer and re-recording mixer who began his audio career making radio plays in Tehran, Iran in collaboration with Tehran base artists in 2013 before moving to Montreal, where he earned his BA in Electroacoustics from Concordia University.

As a skilled audio professional, he has worked on live sound for a play called ‘And Then There Were None’ by Agatha Christie at the McGill Theater Festival under direction of Sormeh Motavali and during past 3 years he worked as sound recorder/mixer and/or re-recording mixer for various documentaries and a 4-episode sitcom series in collaboration with director Mazyar Shahcheraghi and ICI TV Production Co in Montreal. His talents extend to music production, having recorded, mixed, and mastered a début EP called “FLOOD” by Montreal-based artist Fiona Quoi in 2019. Additionally, he has performed an Electroacoustic piece at the CIMMAS festival in Morelia, Mexico in 2020. Houshang’s diverse experience and expertise make him a valuable asset to any audio project.

Saba Heravi

Born in Iran and now based in Tiohtiá:ke/Montreal, Saba Heravi is an Iranian-Canadian artist working across drawing, ceramics, printmaking. With a background in both architecture and studio arts, her practice is guided by a quiet curiosity about how memories linger in objects, spaces, and the body. Since earning her BFA from Concordia University in 2019, she has been exploring themes of home, identity, and belonging through handmade forms and quiet encounters. Whether sculpted in clay or shared through participatory moments, Saba’s work invites stillness, reflection, and a gentle kind of connection-one that unfolds slowly, like memory itself.
