“Karmoolak” is a loose adaptation of Karmolak, a play by Eugène Ionesco. It tells the story of a town where people gradually transform into strange creatures—half-lizard, half-rhinoceros. But one resident decides to remain human and stand up for humanity.
Directed by Mazyar Shahcheraghi, this play was performed in February, March, and April 2025 in Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa, Calgary, and Vancouver, and received an overwhelmingly positive response from audiences
